Planet Eden is an attempt to create a retrofuturistic web gallery of  socialist science ficiton/futuristic art. It is an extention of an exhibition Planet Eden: The World of Tommorrow in the Socialist Czechoslovakia (Brno and Prague, Czech Republic, 2010), a critical review of the communist future of the past. Therefore it contains mostly Czech material but it is open to all other Soviet and East-European artworks up to 1989. Submissions are welcome.

Motto: "It seems that our [Czech] close experience with Utopia is, paradoxicaly, our biggest contribution to the general experience thesaurus of the history of Europe." - Vladimír Macura, literary historian, in an introduction to his book Šťastný věk (The Age of Happiness, Prague, 2008)
